Meditations

A series of personal writings by Marcus Aurelius, Roman Emperor from 161 to 180 AD, recording his private notes to himself and ideas on Stoic philosophy. Written in Koine Greek as a source for his own guidance and self-improvement, it remains one of the greatest works of spiritual and ethical reflection.

Around the end of the first quarter (“What is divine is full of Providence. Even chance is not divorced from nature, from the inweaving and enfolding of things governed by Providence.”) in Google Play Books as of 2025 12 02. The version I am reading has a nice introduction describing the philosophies he might have had contact at the time.
